NEWGATE UNIVERSITY HOSTS NUC ACCREDITATION TEAMS FOR PROGRAM EVALUATION

As part of the ongoing accreditation exercise at Newgate University, Minna, the institution hosted two teams for the accreditation of its International Relations and Diplomatic Studies (IRD) and Business Administration programs.

The IRD accreditation team comprised:
Prof. Osita Agbu from Baze University, Abuja (Team Lead),
Prof. Abdul Malik Auwal from Bayero University, Kano, and
Muhammad Akawu Danrangi, representing the National Universities Commission (NUC).

The team leads commended the university for its warm hospitality &emphasized that their mission was to conduct the accreditation exercise with an open mind. They noted that the purpose was not only to identify areas requiring improvement but also to highlight the university's strengths.

They also commended the university’s e-library, which offers both offline and online resources, and noted the cleanliness of the campus environment.

During their visit, the team conducted a thorough assessment of the curriculum, teaching facilities, and library resources.

They expressed appreciation for the support provided by the university team throughout the exercise.

The accreditation team was particularly impressed by the university's facilities, citing the spacious, serene library with well-organized sitting arrangements.

The Business Administration team included:
Prof. Abdulsalam Jibril from Nasarawa State University, Keffi, (team lead) Prof. Bilkisu Kabir Farouk from the Nigerian Defence Academy, Kaduna, and Hassan Sada Rawayau, the NUC Representative.

The VC expressed gratitude to the teams, asking them to view the university with the eyes of an elder, considering that it has only been in operation for two years. He appreciated their constructive feedback and reassured them of the university's commitment to continuous improvement.
