FLAILAS APPROVES THE STUDIES OF NUPE AND GBAGYI LANGUAGES

The Provost of Fati Lami Abubakar Institute for Legal and Administrative Studies (FLAILAS) has approved the study of Nupe and Gbagyi Languages as the courses for immediate Community for all students to promote and preserve the Indigenous Languages which will commence next semester of 2024/2025 Academic Session.

The Provost Dr. (Mrs) Amina Usman Kutigi said "the decision made by FLAILAS management is in line with the federal government's approval of mother tongue as a compulsory language in primary schools across the country."

Dr. Amina added that "the courses would be an opportunity for both speakers of the languages and the non-speaker's students to enhance free-flow of basic knowledge & communication skills among their peers in the institution.

In the letter signed by the Registrar Alh. Kpako Saidu (Dokaji Nupe) stated that, Nupe & Gbagyi Languages are long overdue to be studied in all Tertiary
