The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has announced the suspension of admission into its Biochemistry and Petroleum & Gas Engineering departments, effective from the 2024/2025 academic session.
According to a statement signed by the Registrar, Mrs. Olakunle Makinde, the university will not admit new students into these programs until further notice. Prospective UTME and Direct Entry candidates have been advised to select alternative programs, as any choices made for the affected programs will not be considered.
The reason for this decision was not disclosed by the university. However, the announcement serves as a notice to admission seekers to explore other options within the university. The suspension of admission into these programs may be a temporary measure, and the university may revisit its decision in the future. For now, candidates are advised to choose alternative programs to secure their admission into the university.
