Honourable Mu'azu Hamidu Jantabo, the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, met with the Joint Action Committee (JAC) of Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University (IBBUL), Lapai, on June 12, 2024. The JAC, led by Comrade Adamu Isa, comprises members from the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Non-Academic Staff Union of Universities (NASU), Senior Staff Association of Universities (SSANU), and National Association of Academic Technologists (NAAT).
The meeting aimed to discuss the challenges facing IBBUL and explore ways to address them, focusing on the university's development. During the discussion, the Honourable Commissioner assured the JAC of the state government's commitment to supporting the university and addressing its concerns.
The JAC members expressed their appreciation for the Commissioner's visit and his willingness to listen to their concerns. They emphasized the importance of addressing the challenges faced by the university to ensure its continued growth and success.
