NOUN ANNOUNCES 13TH CONVOCATION CEREMONY

The 13th Convocation Ceremony of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) is scheduled to take place from April 12th to 13th, 2024, as announced by the Registrar, Mr. Oladipo Ajayi.

The ceremony will be conducted both on-site and off-site, with attendees for the on-site event requested to be seated by 9 am at the university's Convocation Arena in Jabi, Abuja.

On April 12th, at 11 am, the Convocation Lecture will be delivered by Prof. Elifas Tozo Bisanda, Vice-Chancellor of the Open University of Tanzania, on the topic: “Is Western Education Still Relevant for Africa?”

The main Convocation Ceremony, where degrees will be awarded to graduates, is scheduled for April 13th at 10 am, also at the Convocation Arena.

Only first-class graduands, first-degree graduands from Federal Capital Territory (FCT) study centers, PGD awardees, master's and doctorate degree graduands, and recipients of honorary doctorate degrees are permitted to attend the on-site ceremony at the university headquarters.

Preceding the ceremonies will be the Investiture of His Majesty, Omo N’ Oba N’Edo Uku’ Akpolokpolo Ewuare II, the Oba of Benin, as the Chancellor of the university, on Thursday, April 11th, 2024, at 12 noon, also at the university’s Convocation Arena in Jabi, Abuja.
