The Board, in response to the Federal Government's suspension of accreditation for degree certificates from Benin Republic and Togo, underlines the crucial need for meticulous verification procedures.
This directive comes as a proactive measure to curb fraudulent practices, as the government expressed concerns over individuals employing dubious means to acquire degrees, aiming to secure job opportunities for which they lack qualifications.
The Board urges all A-Level candidates seeking 2023 admissions through Direct Entry to proactively engage with their former institutions for prompt certificate verification. In a bid to expedite this process, JAMB has reached out to all tertiary institutions that issued the certificates. While some institutions have responded positively, others have shown a lackadaisical approach.
It's noteworthy that the Board has provided accessible links for candidates to check the list of non-responsive institutions.
