Alumni and students of Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife, Osun State, will be meeting to discuss empowerment opportunities for students and other products of the university.
Being an initiative of The Great Ife Hangout Community, the leader of the organisation, Komolafe Tolulope, says the initiative is a visionary network of alumni, students, and affiliates of OAU, who are proud to give back to the OAU community and Ile-Ife at large.
“This pioneering movement seeks to empower, connect, create and transform the lives of Great Ife students, products, not only in Nigeria but across the world, with a strong emphasis on long-term support,” a statement by Komolafe said on Friday.
He noted that the journey of the Great Ife Hangout Community began with the inception of the “Great Ife Lasgidi Hangout 1.0” in Lagos on December 26, 2020, where a diverse group of alumni and students, including influential personalities came together first as reconnection.
The next event to be held in Lagos, according to Komolafe, is scheduled for a later day in December where empowerment opportunities will be unveiled.
